StreetWise Partners acts as a staffing agency at no cost to you! StreetWise Partners staff has access to hundreds of qualified candidates and we will match your company with job seekers that are a good fit.
StreetWise Partners connects unemployed and underemployed job seekers with mentors from a variety of industries and companies. Mentors and job seekers work closely together for 13 weeks on a very structured curriculum that includes:
- Goal setting
- Networking and elevator pitch
- Public speaking
- Resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters
- Job search strategy
- Interview skills
Through the 13 week curriculum job seekers are also mentored on soft skills that employers report are imperative to successful employment such as:
- Project management
- Phone and e-mail etiquette
- Developing an independent work ethic
- Critical thinking
After the 13 week program, job seekers and mentors continue to work together for 9 months. This 9 month partnership allows job seekers to be mentored through their job search and the first few weeks on the job, which takes some responsibility off of Supervisors.
StreetWise Partners job seekers are men and women between the ages of 18 and 65. All of our job seekers have a high school diploma or GED, and most have some college experience. A number of our job seekers have successfully completed a hard skills training program in tech or administrative work. All of our job seekers are motivated and eager to start a successful career.
