As we continue to celebrate National Volunteer Month, we are grateful for the immeasurable impact volunteers have on our programs and the mentees. Last week, we hosted graduation for our Winter 2023 Program cycle. It was an outstanding group of highly committed people, with volunteers leading the way. Every cycle, StreetWise Partners present awards in three categories:
We also gave a Volunteer Award this cycle. This award is presented to one volunteer who goes above and beyond in bringing their expertise and knowledge to support all mentees during their program night and in supporting their mentee throughout the StreetWise program.
The mentees and mentors honored here exemplify the life-changing power of the mentoring relationship. Congratulations to everyone in the group, but especially the award winners for Winter 2023.

Mentee Achievement Award
Stephanie Nascimento
Stephanie took the opportunity to embrace the various options in the program experience to best fit her needs, all while maintaining high performance. Her candor and active listening are two skills which will make her successful as a professional.
Mentor/Mentee Pair of the Cycle
Emily Almodovar and Gagan Vaseer
Emily and Gagan achieved exceptional results working together. Their commitment to the program extended past their mentee/mentor relationship. They actively engaged peers and mentors during every session by encouraging and supporting others along their respective journeys. It was amazing to watch their mentoring relationship grow throughout the program.
Mentee Leadership Award
Jalen Roberson, Adrianna Soares, and Shantel Moore
Jalen, Adrianna and Shantel all inspired, supported, and encouraged other mentees in the program to great results. They met their own deadlines and commitments, while producing top quality work. They demonstrated trust, leadership, and commitment. Most importantly, these mentees communicated their challenges, asked a lot of questions, encouraged other mentees and met with many mentors to ensure they got the most out of the program.

Akshay Ramanathan
Akshay is exceptional at building connections, especially in our hybrid program. Aksay has been a bastion of support for mentees and mentors alike with his advice, anecdotes, and perspective. From the very first session of the cycle, Akshay established himself as someone that mentees and newer mentors could count on.
