How It Works

StreetWise Partners offers a 12-month mentoring program to help individuals from disadvantaged communities gain professional skills required for a job and a career. We match you with 1 mentee and 1 co-mentor. You and your co-mentor will provide in-person support around professional and soft skill development.

We Host Two In-Person Programs Annually:

September thru December
March thru June

Phase One

13 weeks of in-person mentoring:

6:30-9pm on a weeknight or 11:30-2:00pm on a Saturday (dates and times vary with location) You meet your mentees at a corporate site – you will be with 25 other mentoring matches so the program is super social!

Phase Two

9 months of follow up:

We ask that you call, email or meet in person with your mentee to provide continued support, advice, guidance and encouragement through their job search process

Why Mentoring Matters

“Volunteering for the Career Ventures program has been an incredible experience. What amazes me is how much I’ve learned about myself by contributing time as a mentor—no doubt I’m getting just as much out of the program as the mentees!”  Richard, Deutsche Bank Mentor, 2016
