A Statement Regarding COVID-19
We hope that our StreetWise family is healthy as we navigate these challenging times. As the COVID 19 situation evolves, we are committed to adapting to support our community as best we can.
Here is an update:
– Our Spring programming will be starting remotely in all regions in the latter half of May.
– We have launched virtual programming, hosting weekly alumni coffee chats, volunteer happy hours, virtual volunteering opportunities, and webinars for our whole community. These have been a tremendous way to stay connected in these socially distant times and we are excited to continue developing new events.
– Through our partnership with the Stand Together foundation, we have given out over $50k in financial assistance to help close the gap for those in our community facing job loss and hour reduction.
– Our staff has developed a resource guide for our community (which you can find above). This guide will be continually updated as more resources become available and known to us.
There are many things we can’t control in this situation. But what we can control is our response. We know that now more than ever it is important to come together as a community and be creative, innovative and transparent about the challenges we are facing. Please reach out with thoughts, ideas, or concerns as we take this on, together.
