Share Your Advice with a Mentee

Hugh is from Queens and was raised in the public school system. His father passed away when he was 16, and he’s kept a strong bond with his mother. Hugh recently graduated from Elon University in North Carolina on a merit scholarship. He studied political science and pre-law but then switched to business because he’s drawn to sales and technology. He’s moving back home to be closer to family and has missed New York. Hugh likes making connections and having good conversations. He is looking for guidance about transitioning from school to a full time job and also how to be more assertive in negotiations and ongoing career relationship building. He’s hoping to land a great job so he can help support his Mom.
